Summer Montabone's Nutrition and Exercise DVD Review by Juan Carlos Lopez

Summer has brought us a very clear cut and direct approach to nutrition and exercise targeted to the mainstream but also with information many competitors should know.

The first section starts with Summer talking about nutrients in a class. She goes in detail about protein, carbs and good fats. She also gives a very interesting example of how much sugar physically there is on a soda and yogurt. Besides that she goes into some other real examples about how unhealthy some common foods can be and what to avoid to eat.

Tips on weight control is the next section. Summer gives us some ideas on how to plan several meals in one day and kick start the metabolism. She notes the difference between a protein powder and a meal replacement and also mentions glycemic index.

The final section is exercise and weight loss which taps on how to arrange schedule and how it can be done. Giving examples on some of her clients and even her own body. This part helps illustrate how much work you have to do and the importance of being consistent.

Motivation is a key factor that Summer teaches and this DVD is full of that. Even when there is no gym action or treacherous backstage adventures, Summer has put out a very basic and understandable DVD. Its like taking a class in college, very educational and the best are the real life examples that will be even impressive to the most seasoned competitors.
