Welcome to another status/update on HardFitness and the industry insides. The t-shirt sales will be unveiled very soon as we have been busy getting the right model or backdrops for them to be photographed.

Nationals

The first National show just went down in Charleston, SC and it seems to have sent a clear message for the National level competitors... come in smaller.
It has been normal for competitors to attend Nationals and after a few years get their pro card. The NPC is pushing for a smaller, softer and more mainstream look it seems. Some of the more seasoned veterans at Nationals are seeing this and realizing it. Fitness has been rumored to become an avenue for the more muscular physiques and well conditioned bodies. Traci Redding for example is someone who competed back in 2005 at Jr. Nationals with a tremendous body and until 2007 Nationals she took her pro card in Fitness. There have been other competitors who are wanting to look into Fitness as their competition category given the look figure is going for. The NPC is getting more competitors because their criteria is more attainable and thus giving our industry in some cases better models for more work.

Rest in Peace Amanda Jo Earhart-Savell

Amanda IFBB Figure Pro and winner of the Arnold Classic was found dead at 30 years old. Apparently a murder but nothing has been determined regarding the whole situation until an autopsy report is released. Autopsy report will determine if ex-boyfriend David Jacobs did indeed fire a gun at Amanda or not. Gun powder residue is usually found on the person who fires the gun, angle of entry of the bullet will also tell us much regarding the deaths.
We send our condolences to all her family members and specially to her sister Brandy Cooke. I did a photoshoot with Amanda back in 2004 at Nationals in Dallas, TX and she was a quiet and nice lady. After the Titus-Ryan events this adds another negative mark on the bodybuilding industry.
