Angela Gill NPC Figure How did you get interested in bodybuilding/working out? I was involved with sports all through school and began
lifting in 8th grade with the football coach. Actually it was more like
power lifting but it was a lot of fun! A few years ago a met my fiancé,
a How was your first show like, any interesting experiences? My first show was great despite being terrified the week before. I had never been on stage and was so worried! The day of the show though my nerves settled and I just relaxed. The only trouble I had was with my suits! They were too big and I had to use Elmer’s spray adhesive to hold them up…yikes! What do you like and dislike about competing? I love to compete because it is a great sense of accomplishment.
You learn to push yourself harder and harder each time you compete.
It is an amazing experience to step on stage and know that you did it
and there are people cheering for you! What a feeling! What are your future goals in this industry? My future goals in the industry are to continue competing and training hard. Next year will be my first time on the national stage so my main goal there is to arrive in peak condition. It will be an honor just to stand on stage with many of the girls I have admired for some time! What do you see yourself doing in 10 years? I would still like to be competing in the next 10 years but if not I would still like to be part of the fitness industry. I love working with people and would love to help others achieve their goals in competing or just getting back into shape. Hopefully I will also have completed my doctorate in 10 years, keep your fingers crossed!!! Please tell us something special about you that most people wouldn’t know? I actually graduated high school a year early. I combined a number of classes and skipped my senior year. At that point in time I was determined to be a vet but later discovered it was not for me due to the fact that I would either end up in jail for beating up an animal abuser or I would be on medication for the rest of my life each time I couldn’t save a precious pet. I would like to say thank you to my fiancé Blake. He has provided me with so much support and love. Without him I would never have had the strength or confidence to compete.
