Emerald Cup 2005 Max Muscle Posing Seminar in Bellevue, WA On Wednesday April 27th, 2005 Max Muscle of Bellevue held a posing seminar at Sidekicks Gym in Redmond, WA. Commanded by IFBB Fitness Pro Tanji Johnson the posing seminar started at about 8pm and ended at 9:30pm. The girls of Max Muscle are trained by Pete Grubbs and Jason Troll. Pete's wife Apple has been a lot of help from what I hear. Max Muscle brought in about 35 girls to the show and several of them did very well some even won their classes. All in all quality was presented with the Michelle Troll added as the icing on the cake. Seeing her pose in the seminar was like seeing a woman among girls. Congratulations to Max Muscle for putting up such a great seminar and inviting HardFitness.com to cover it.
Tanji Johnson was directing the posing, they were initially divided in a room by height classes. Then unto the posing floor were Tanji gave them some pointers about proper poses, importance of smiling and creating a stage presence. Most of the athletes were local and lived close enough to attend the seminar. Tanji was helpful in demonstrating were to put your arms in each pose and teach the new girls how to gracefully exit the stage. Most girls did have a base tan specially those that done any photoshoots or simply wanted to be darker. Pete also did some callouts without any particular order (but calling out Michelle Troll first).
Some of the physiques that stood out the most was of course Michelle Troll who's muscularity and condition was evident even some days before the show. Michelle Mayberry which did a photoshoot with me a day before looked much fuller. Mayberry has a killer physique and will do well at Nationals shows. She does both figure and fitness so she can tackle either discipline. Another outstanding physique was Michelle Anderson who looked very ripped the day of the seminar. She actually took her class and compete d for the overall in figure. Anderson had a low bodyfat percentage which displayed her muscles well. She will probably take on the National stage this year. From the girls I did photoshoots with another competitor stood out. Young Amanda Ogden with her smile, beauty and great attitude was a wonderful shoot that same morning. Amanda competes in fitness and has great potential, she is just starting out but you can see the drive in her eyes. She is a sweet girl that hopefully will compete more and more and probably will be on stage at Nationals in Atlanta in 2005.
